Online Safety
At Queen's Park Academy, E Safety is taught fully understand how to keep themselves and others safe when using the internet. We are committed to creating a safe and secure online environment for all students, ensuring they understand how to use technology responsibly and protect themselves from potential risks. Our approach includes regular lessons on digital citizenship, guidance on safe online practices, the risks of social media, and robust measures to safeguard personal information. This is taught through half-termly assemblies delivered by the senior leadership team, class assemblies delivered by class teachers and through our PSHE and Computing lessons. Children are regularly reminded of how to 'screenshot, block and report' anything which they encounter online that makes them feel uncomfortable. We also encourage parents to work with us by reinforcing these principles at home, so together we can help our children navigate the digital world confidently and safely. Our newsletters also contain information and E Safety guides for parents to further support with online safety at home.
