Dear Parents and Carers,

What an exciting and busy end to our first half term.

Our Year 4s had an amazing Rainforest Wow Day today.  Their parents enjoyed seeing the work produced throughout this topic.  Thank you to everyone who came to look.

Head Boy and Head Girl

Many congratulations to all pupils who recently participated in the application process for Head Boy and Girl. As I am sure you can image, it was an extremely hard decision for the panel and I was very proud of all the applicants who had prepared so thoroughly.  I can inform you that our new Head Boy is:  Sam Jacobs and our Head Girl is Nell Sanders, additional congratulations to them.  They are ably assisted by Callum Arrowsmith , Deputy Head Boy and Megan Gore, Deputy Head Girl.  We are excited to announce that the Mayor has invited the Head Boy and Head Girl to take afternoon team with him (and myself!) Look out for our article in the end of term edition of The Buzz.

Please note that we are unable to provide storage facilities for scooters.  Can you please take them home with you if your child scoots to school.  Thank you for your support regarding this.  If your child wishes to cycle to school, can I remind you please to obtain a permission letter from the office.  Any child who cycles, of course, should be wearing a helmet.

Thank you

Thank you to Mr Jacobs who has kindly presented us with a truly amazing harvest bread display which we have in the main office.

Jack Fry in Year 5 has won a competition celebrating UNESCO’s World Teacher Day.  Jack wrote an amazing poem nominating Mr Herrington for a special prize as an outstanding teacher.  Jack was given tickets to Go Ape and Mr Herrington was presented with a unique, handmade plate celebrating his award and dinner for 2 at the Bournemouth Marriott Hotel.  Well done Jack and Mr Herrington!

I hope you all have an enjoyable break and I look forward to seeing you all on 2nd November 2015.
