20th January 2017

Dear Parents and Carers

Another busy and exciting start to the Spring Term.

Wow Days

Year 4 had an amazing day as ‘explorers’ on their Wow Day at the start of their ‘Misty Mountain Sierra’ topic and year 5 enjoyed their experience in the Science Dome as part of their current ‘Frozen Kingdom’ topic.

The year 5 and 6 homework projects are fantastic, truly outstanding.  Thank you so much for your continued support regarding homework.  The Anderson shelters, and Lion, Witch and Wardrobe themed models that have been made at home are just incredible.   I know that you join me in being so proud of all our children’s achievements.

Class 5B

5B were lucky enough to spend a night in the Novium Museum in Chichester.  Ella from class 5B was chosen as one of the winning entries in a competition writing about their dream space job (as part of the homework for our previous topic).  0ver 600 children applied for the competition and all entries were judged by a panel which included Nigel Peake, Tim Peake’s Father and representatives from the European Space Agency and UK Space Agency.   They had a wonderful visit and thoroughly enjoyed sleeping over in a museum.

Dates for the diary:

24th January 2017 School Nurse drop in 08.30 am
6th to 8th February 2017 Year 3 Leeson House trips
13th to 19th February 2017 Half-term Holiday
8th March 2017 Parents Evening

Thank you very much for your support.

Best wishes as always.

Yours sincerely

Mrs S Simmons

Associate Principal
