10th November 2017

Dear Parents and Carers,

Parents Evening

Thank you for all your support.  It was lovely to see so many parents.  We at QPA are so proud of all the children’s achievements and enjoy sharing their success with you during this evening.

We have started rehearsals for our Christmas celebration at Bournemouth School for Girls.

If your child does not celebrate Christmas, please can you ensure that their Class Teacher is aware.  We have activities set up for those children for when rehearsals and celebrations take place.  Due to demand for tickets last year, we will be running the production on an additional evening.  Therefore, performances will be on Tuesday 12th December (afternoon and evening) and Wednesday 13th December (evening).  Please can you save the dates to ensure your child can perform at both evening concerts.  A separate letter will be sent out with further details and ticket information.

School Council

Our School Council has been very busy already.  New members have been elected from each class along with a Chair and Secretary.  Their first job was to decide which charities Queen’s Park Academy will support this year in addition to the PTA.  A vote was taken from their classes, the shortlist was then voted on.  All votes were tallied and collated.  The initial chosen charities were:  Mosaic, supporting bereaved children and Children in Need.  Please see overleaf for further information for their first event for Children in Need.
